HAHA… I can’t get the pictures I have for the shop off my phone to post… Dang it…lol… We are not even halfway done yet, to open, and mom has already done 4 arrangements…lol… I hope that it picks up really well. I am excited, yet nervous. I have only sold art to friends, and I hope that the people in town will like it….

Since Tuesday Oct.21, 2008, I I have been helping my mom move things to our new shop. We finally aquired a building that she could afford and we are working hard to get it ready to open. I have pictures of what we have done so far, and I will post them tomorrow when I get them off my phone. The name of the shop is Petals Florist and Arts…lol… I know its corny, but mom wanted my art in there, I told her to leave it Petals Florist but she wouldn’t have it. She thinks that I can sell my art and crafts there and she wants to be able to say that there is a local artist on duty. So when the shop opens, each day I have to be working on some kind of art. Like Monday’s will be Painting, Tuesday’s will be Drawing, Wednesday’s will be Watercoloring, Thursday’s will be Making Jewelry and Friday’s will be crocheting….lol… I haven’t figured out what to do on Saturday’s, I may do digital painting….lol.
Anyway, wish us luck and I will post pictures tomorrow….

Well for the past week I have been entertaining my Sister in Law (hubbys sis) and her husband. It was so busy, and I have been so tired. This past Saturday we went to the Biltmore House and it was so cold…. lol.. I have a few pictures to share.
And on the 17th we celebrated my husbands birthday…

P.S. My brother in law took all the pictures, and the reason why there are no pictures of the inside was they would tackle us if we used a camera on the inside… There were guards everywhere. Well in my last post I said that I would become old when I got the van. I don’t, however I do have a question for those that switched from there youthful car or truck, to a seasoned van…lol…
I don’t know if I am the only one feeling this, and I wanted to see what you all think (those of you that actually read here). Do you feel more motherly? Like you have to get your kids involved in something? Like you need to be more “Church” orientated? (That is any kind of religion) Do you feel like no one is staring anymore? Like you fit finally? I don’t know, I know it’s stupid, but I feel that way. I have even been doing my dishes at night! AT NIGHT!!! Instead of getting up the next day and doing them… Someone please tell me you have had a situation similar to this…lol
Anywho… OH yeah, I almost forgot. I got a mailbox order yesterday. Well hubby took it for me. Some one that comes in his shop regularly, was looking at my airbrushed mailboxes, and said he wanted to commission one. He wants a slate gray mailbox and herbs painted on it. HERBS…. Oh well to each there own. I don’t know how much he said he would pay, but I bet hubby will make a deal with him getting Malco Products for MY work…lol. That will SUCK… So today I have to go sand the mailbox and base it, then let it dry. Then I will be doing the graphics and I will make hubby clear coat it.. WOOT….
